Zhang Xuegang, a farmer worker from CEFOC attended the 15th national congress of the All China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU)

    The All-China Federation of Trade Unions opened its 15th national congress meeting on October 17 in Beijing. For the first time in the congress' history, this year's event is being attended by 47 representatives of the country's massive farmer workforce. Zhang Xuegang, an employee from CEFOC is among the forty-seven farmer worker representatives elected from across the country. He is also the only representative of farmer workers of Shijiazhuang City to the meeting. “I am so excited and feel greatly honored”, said he to reporter of Hebei Workers’ Daily, “It also shows the Party and government’s efforts to earnestly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of farmer workers and better voice their opinions”. Zhang said he shall let all his workmates know the great care from the Party and government and work harder and do his job well in return to the company and society.
